Last Intel CPU I used was a Pentium III, now I finally know why I switched to AMD in early 2000s
Fellow AMD Fans, Intel is not dead and isn't dying anytime soon, they still much larger then AMD and they are going to strike back, not anytime soon because they were lazy and now have to pay the price, AMD will be at the top until Intel strikes back because they aren't THAT stupid, we still are at episode 4, episode 5 will come and hit hard but Lets take advantage of this time and buy good AMD CPUS while they are the best! Go AMD! Also the "Intel is dying and AMD is still shooting" Is unfunny, unoriginal and innacurate
I'm an Intel fanboy, was since early 90's. I have to admit, this AMD release is definitely weighting on my next build in January 2020.
Please someone make hackintosh out of it
AMD ripped another one in Intel's face.
Amd probably probably hired a Steven hawking level genius on to their team
Don’t care. Give me 10ghz quad core
Intel is so boomer-alike
those dank lake mems.. ohboi
AMD: *releases a 16-core Threadripper* Intel: *panics, shoves their entire pipeline out the door to compete* AMD: *casually doubles the core count to 32* Intel: *clearly in desperation mode, resorts to underhanded marketing while they get 36 cores onto one die* AMD: "Hey Intel, guess what we can do again?" Intel: FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU--
Intels: Guys?, lets just stack 4 14nm chips side by side and call it day. Idiots will still buy. Win win Workers: But boss? you're making a bomb. Boss: We'll just say, Samsung did it.
Mr Linux all you Videos are shown in KRclip not in Theaters . Why your Videos Are 21: 9 ratio .
Companies in 1989: "Boys let's look very carefully at our competition to find out how we can outsell them". Intel in 2019: "Let's go out of business ourselves before someone else does it".
Didn't Intel just release a new hasbeen...ooh...I mean haswell...
I would be nice if you could include BI testing in your analysis. Such as Power BI data models refresh speeds. (These data models run in memory.)
I feel like based on what I am seeing in the market is that AMD is the processor company for regular people, gamers and basic consumers, while Intel has abandoned all those people and focuses on serving the rich or massive corporations and data centers with old slow very expensive chips. Its like they changed CEOs and lost their way in the mark... ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh meh, to each their own. I mean its not like intel is hurting for sales they just dont have anything to offer for the regular joe smith making their desktop on the cheap. that's ok, I will keep buying AMD stock and riding the wave :-)
Can anyone recommend a really cheap PC that has these current gen processors? I want WiFi 6 compatibility. It will be used for basic stuff such as email, web surfing, and office but all tabs open for plenty of multitasking. All I need is the tower. Thank you :)
At 1:11 LTT messed up, the 2990WX has 64 threads, not 48.
Linus, I don’t know if you read these but if you do I need your help. I need to build the best editing rig for a total budget of $3,700 can you help me with the build please. Editing = photography/video
The forum on linustechtips dot com should get you a much better response from many who are quite adequate to help you out. Way better than KRclip comments. Cheers!
I have a 20 dollars pc. it is a pentium iv running at a whapping 3 ghz with 4 gb ddr2 ram and a 32g ssd I am and still happy with it. it does everything i need it to do. so why MISSexpending thousands of dollar with this unnecessary crap for most of us ...
My first PC was a Celeron processor paired with an ATI GPU (forgot which one), my second PC was an Athlon 3200+ Barton paired with an ATI GPU (9700 PRO IIRC), then an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 paired with a Nvidia GPU (8600GT IIRC), then an i5-4570 paired with a Nvidia GTX 970. This Intel/Nvidia setup is with me for about 7 years now. Now last week I went full AMD again (I'm sorry for abandoning you in the past AMD, I didn't know back in the day how shady Intel was), with a B450 MSI Tomahawk, Ryzen 3700X and a RX 5700 XT. What a time to be alive guys... Team Red!!!!!
Both Intel and AMD is pretty good depending on the circumstances. *Intel = High end gaming.* *AMD Ryzen = Extreme multi-tasking.*
Overkill since I play solitaire
Has the RX 5500 for desktops dropped yet?!
So is there any AMD CPU which cost the same as Intel I9 9900K, have more cores and perform the same in gaming?
Have you heard? Next Gen Intel is called "Aral Lake". Because there is nothing left
Cool !
4:14 Ryzen 7 3950X?
LISA SU!!!! Shout out to you !!!!!!!
Will you buy one for private Linus?
For someone doing scientific computing… Drooling a bit now.
Threadripper 3970X/3960X are for losers, Legends use Pentium(dual core) My PC currently has PENTIUM DUAL CORE and can run crysis 3
8:36 This is the perfercet marriage present for someone geeky as me.
In 4 years this is a budget CPU for work
We are living in an era where Intel is the budget option lol! At least in one category.
Understanding Capitalism is easy- Monopoly= bad, Competition= Good.
Is this sponsored by amd?
Am feel bad but I enjoy how intel is beating down soo bad I going to make corn pops and watching all the reviews nailed Intel to the core
IntelRIPper
Who would need 2k dollar processor in his day to day pc? What is going on with the processor prizes anyway? Ridiculously high.
finally now I can have a core for every slot in my minecraft inventory
Tasnim Hossain ah yes... a man with his priorities set straight....
AMD 3990x 64 core 🤔
Amd came back to the fight and brought a nuke to a knife fight.
Great video, but I would love to see the power draw of the threadrippers, when OC'ed. (also the max all-core overclock.) What a conundrum: You've shown somewhat clearly that the newest threadripper architecture is more efficient than even the latest Ryzen, (plus they don't suffer from the latency issues of the older units) but we only have the 3960X and 3970X to choose from. Therefore, power draw, and thus heat, will be rather extreme when these are overclocked. - And for us DAW users, maximum all-core frequency is pretty much the entire world. I guess I have to go with the 3950X for now (at least there are several great mobos to choose from, even with onboard Thunderbolt) but what I wouldn't give for a 12 core version of the 3960X! That would be the DAW cpu of doom. - More than enough cores for even the largest audio session, but much faster all-core speed, and much less heat. One can dream....
i know INTEL was cooking something. hahahah 😈
Ive gone back and forth between AMD and Intel since 1995. My first AMD was a 486 DX4 100MHz. Then the Intel Pentiums for a while, and then an Athlon 1000, so on and so forth. But? The days of $100.00 processors is gone.
Well, I did just buy an eight core 3700X for around $300.00.
Thank you for saying 1/8" and 1/4" in the sennheiser ad. I hate when they use that 3.5mm garage
long live AMD!
*FIRE* 8 Gamers 1 CPU EXTREME INTEL REKK EDITION *FIRE*
Intel is finally being punished for strangling innovation in order to keep those money hungry investors happy. Yea buddy! About time! AMD caught them with their pants down. Its time for the Intel engineers to do some real work should they wish to keep their jobs in 2022. And I hope you Intel investors take a massive knock in share prices as well. Greedy weasels! Slashing prices by 50% and still making a profit! Shame on you!
03:40 Pantyshot :3
4:14 you wrote ryzen 7 btw instead of 9
I would totally go for amd but I fear my 750 watt psu wont be enough
Intel has become like Apple...And AMD is like Android....you get more for less. Thanks for coming Intel...Please Take your seat.
Naa its more like: "There is the door and dont knock your ass ass on the way out."
AMD to intel: “IF GOD HAD WANTED YOU TO LIVE, HE WOULD NOT HAVE CREATED ME”
I like Intel. I still use my i7 2600k . Over the years I never saw a reason to upgrade but if I am going to upgrade, I will choose Intel again. IDK what is this frenzy that AMD is winning the race ... they fkn glued 2 processors together. I see this as a desperate move to stay in the game.
You have no reason for upgrade, until gen 10 intel´s processor is the same, 4cores/8threads.
AMD just Thanos snapped intel
Intel Gasket Leak? What? 🤣😂
It's over, Intel! I have the higher core count!
I just like to add that there ARE applications where threadripper is discouraged.
Because Intel held back on innovation. Software would have adapted to more core count and better thread optimization should there be more cores available but Intel kept everyone at 4 core and the hard working professionals at 8 cores. There was no need for more multi-core applications optimization till now...
